Located in Golden Gate Park's Music Concourse and built in 1900, this beloved band shell featuring two colonnades of impressive ionic columns is a rare surviving example of pre-1906 Earthquake architecture. A redevelopment of an earlier structure built for the 1894 Mid-Winter Fair, over the years the band shell provided a venue for diverse artists from Pavarotti to the Grateful Dead.
