 Pigeon Point Lighthouse Station

About the Pigeon Point Lighthouse Station  [See on Map]

Thought to be the oldest lighthouse remaining on the West Coast and one of the tallest lighthouses in America, Pigeon Point commands remarkable views. The National Register-listed lighthouse boasts a renowned Fresnel lens, that the public has been unable to view since the building was closed to the public in 2001. The Partners in Preservation grant was used to restore the historic windows and doors, damaged by years of storms and exposure to salty sea air. The project was completed in November 2008.
